The Department specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the thyroid and breast glands. Our core mission is to achieve radical treatment of tumors, perform minimally invasive surgery, and improve patients' postoperative quality of life. By integrating multidisciplinary resources—including surgery, endocrine therapy, imaging diagnostics, pathological analysis, and psychological support—we provide full-cycle, patient-centered care for individuals with thyroid nodules, thyroid cancer, benign or malignant breast tumors, and inflammatory breast conditions. Our services encompass precise diagnosis, personalized surgical intervention, and long-term follow-up.
Our Clinical Strengths:
(1) Comprehensive Minimally Invasive Surgery:
Small-incision thyroid surgery performed without endoscopic assistance and total endoscopic thyroid surgery (no visible neck scars ) are offered to meet diverse aesthetic expectations.
(2) Precise Preoperative Diagnosis and Ablation Techniques:
Ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration (FNA), combined with BRAF gene test, significantly improves the preoperative diagnostic accuracy of thyroid nodules. Radiofrequency/Microwave Ablation: For selected benign nodules or low-risk microcarcinomas, ultrasound-guided thermal ablation is provided. The procedure requires only a needle puncture to completely eradicate the lesion, offering a minimally invasive, fast-recovery alternative to surgery.
(3) Oncoplastic Breast-Conserving Surgery:
Integrating oncologic and plastic surgical techniques, advanced methods such as glandular flap transfer and tissue remodeling are used to reconstruct the breast after resection of larger tumors that would otherwise cause deformity. This approach significantly expands the indications for breast-conserving surgery, ensuring both oncologic safety and optimal cosmetic outcomes.
(4) Radical Mastectomy with Immediate Breast Reconstruction:
Immediate prosthetic breast reconstruction is performed concurrently with radical mastectomy, allowing patients to restore breast contour in a single operation and reducing psychological burden.
(5) Molecular Subtype-Guided Precision Therapy:
Utilizing advanced pathologic and genetic testing platforms, a complete molecular subtype profile is established for each breast cancer patient. In collaboration with Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, and Pathology, tailored treatment plans are developed and delivered, including neoadjuvant therapy, postoperative adjuvant therapy, and advanced-stage salvage regimens.
