Doctor's Introduction
Prof. Yu has over 30 years of clinical experience and completed research fellowships at the Barrow Neurological Institute, University of Arizona, and the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He specializes in cerebrovascular diseases, skull base and deep-seated brain tumors, and craniocervical junction anomalies.
Prof. Yu pioneered a novel surgical approach for tumors in the cavernous sinus region in China, and was among the first in China to identify and report conditions such as "cerebral venous malformations." Internationally, he first described a structural classification of the atlantoaxial lateral mass joint and was the earliest to report the use of intraoperative CT navigation for complex craniocervical anomalies and the C12 direct reduction technique.
