Prof. Xu is highly skilled in minimally invasive endoscopic techniques for treating cerebral hemorrhage, endoscopic transsphenoidal resection of pituitary and other skull base tumors, endoscopic management of hydrocephalus, intracranial arachnoid cysts, and septum pellucidum cysts, as well as stereotactic brain biopsy, interstitial brachytherapy for brain tumors, aspiration and drainage of brain abscesses, foreign body removal, and various cerebrospinal fluid diversion techniques for complex hydrocephalus. He also performs contralateral C7 nerve transfer for poststroke hemiplegia, microsurgical resection of brain tumors, and comprehensive management of complex craniocerebral trauma. As one of China's earliest neurosurgeons to adopt neuroendoscopic techniques (since 1994), Profe.
